The Micah Parsons trade still stands as one of the most debated moves in NFL history. There remains ongoing arguments about whether the truly received fair value in return. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones addre sed the topic during an appearance on Mad Dog Sports Radio on Tuesday. We feel good about what weve added via that trade, Jones said, specifically mentioning Quinnen Williams and Christian Encarnacion-strand Jersey Kenny Clark. The decision we made was that one player is not worth four or five good ones. And we feel like thats where were going to end up here, in a good spot. We had that opportunity there and didnt feel like we were one player away last year. But certainly feel like were putting the pieces together to give us an opportunity to go do what our fans deserve, what we want, which is to go try and win the big trophy, win the Super Bowl. The return reinforced the teams philosophy that even a player of Parsons caliber may not outweigh the value of several quality contributors. However, replacing a talent like Parsons is no easy task. The star is currently recovering from a torn ACL, but he still managed to record 12.5 sacks in 14 games last season. Meanwhile, the Cowboys defense struggled significantly in his absence, finishing last in defensive EPA. Dallas gamble will be judged by results in the upcoming season.
