Riven Tides has made ARC Raiders feel a bit less predictable, and the Avian Alarm project is the first thing that proves it. You're not just clicking through a project screen in Speranza or handing over another stack of ARC Raiders Common Material; you're sent straight into the Seabed and told to place a bird trap near some buoys. That sounds simple until you're actually out there, low on ammo, hearing ARC patrols nearby, and wondering which patch of sand the game means.
Where to place the bird trapThe trap spot is in the northwest part of the Seabed, so don't waste time roaming the middle of the map. Head for the Port Authority Building first. It's one of the easier landmarks to recognise, and it gives you a clean starting point. From there, push toward the dried seabed by the sea wall, moving northeast in the direction of the Wavebreaker side. What you want is a huge red buoy stuck in the sand. It's hard to miss once you're close. You don't need to craft a trap or bring one in your bag, either. Walk up to the quest marker by the buoy, use the interaction prompt, and the first step is done. Well, mostly done. You still have to extract alive, and that's the bit people forget.
Don't linger after the trapOnce the trap is placed, treat the run like you're carrying something rare. Because, in a way, you are. If you die before extraction, the progress won't stick, which makes the whole trip feel like a bad joke. I'd avoid getting greedy here. Skip the extra containers unless they're right on your path, keep your ears open, and rotate early if you hear a fight breaking out nearby. After a successful extraction, you'll get the Dockmaster's Detector, and Avian Alarm turns into a longer hunt across several stages. That's when the project starts asking for Tick Pods, odd materials, and specific Ship Models that always seem common until the moment you need them.
Ship models and ARC partsThe Ship Model part is where a lot of players slow down. For Preliminary Signal Birds, you'll need the green Twilight Compass models. Later stages ask for the blue Velocity models and the purple Sirena Dorata versions. The rarest one is the legendary Leviathan's Crown, and if you find it, don't play hero. Leave. Extract. Celebrate later. The ARC component steps are a different kind of problem. Comet Igniters, Vaporizer Regulators, and Turbine Compressors all push you toward tougher fights. Turbines in particular can ruin a solo run fast, so bring a squad if you can. Even one extra player makes a big difference when things get loud.
Make the project work for youKeep Avian Alarm pinned while you're running the Seabed, because it saves you from second-guessing every pickup. You'll know right away when a part matters, and that's huge when your backpack is nearly full. The rewards are decent too, especially if you like showing off project cosmetics like the Bird House backpack attachment or Gel Patches face style, plus the Raider Tokens help. If you're short on time and want to check item availability or game-related supplies outside your own runs, U4GM is often used by players looking for currency or item services, though you'll still need smart routes and safe extractions to make real progress in Avian Alarm.
